Portfolio
For portfolio, Brooke and I originally planned on making a video with three parts including an explanation, a debate, and tips for productive political conversations. However due to our school being shut down, Brooke and I weren't able to see each other in person very often and we had a very limited amount of resources because of this we had to improvise and change our product goals. So our final product ended up being two water color pieces that illustrate the character we developed and our "dream" pod cast set.
Product/Process ExplanationSo for our two small water color pieces Brooke and I worked on each piece in layers. So one of us would sketch the image and the other would add ink, then the other would add paint and we continued to rotate to build the images. We used reasoning to make some of the visual decisions. For example we chose a green, earthy, leaf chair for our socialist character and we chose to illustrate an expensive chair to match our rich, lavish capitalist character.

Self in the Modern World
For our social studies portion Brooke and I originally intended to research capitalism and socialism and develop characters that would have a debate to answer the question: Which ideology/economic system promotes the most equality/is the best? Because our thinking skill was reasoning, we wanted to have a driving question that would help us use reasoning and keep our project focused. Brooke and I did not end up making a video but we did write a script and have an outline for what our project would look like. The plan for our video was to have three sections. The first section would be an explanation, the second the debate, and the third a list of tips to use when having political conversations.
